News Release
Liquid Controls receives NTEP Approval on Sponsler turbine meters for Diesel Exhaust Fluid metering.
January 8, 2010

The EPA 2010 On-Highway Emission Regulations have arrived. In order to meet these new environmental standars, most major diesel engine manufacturers have developed Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) exhaust systems that significantly reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. An integral phase of the SCR system includes the injection of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) into the exhaust.

With these new regulations comes a unique opportunity to transport and dispense DEF. The Liquid Controls Sponsler turbine meter is suited for flow rates as low as 1.3 gallons per minute for dispensing applications and as high as 275 gallons per minute for loading tank trucks.
